Apprenticeships – Various Positions

Location: Boston

Salary: Government apprenticeship rate

Contract: Fixed term for 2 years

The Boston Witham Academies Federation is a Multi Academy Trust based in and around the Boston area. We currently operate a rolling apprenticeship programme which provides work based training for 17-24 year olds. Apprenticeships mix on-the-job training with classroom learning; they provide you with the skills you need for your chosen career that will also lead to nationally recognised qualifications. As an apprentice, you earn while you learn and receive other benefits as well.

We are seeking to appoint a number of apprentices, the vacancies currently available are:-

  • Apprentice Primary and Secondary Teaching Assistant
  • Apprentice School Administration Assistant
  • Apprentice Finance Assistant
  • Apprentice HR Administration Assistant
  • Apprentice IT Technician

You can apply for an Apprenticeship with us if you are:

  • 17 to 24 years old
  • not in full-time education

The ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, good command of spoken and written English, the ability to work both within a team and independently and a commitment to personal and professional development in order to progress within the setting. They will have a GCSE Grade C in both English and Maths.

Primary Cover Supervisor – Salary Grade G6 SCP 15 to 18 £21,962-24,174 (pro rata)

Full Time- 37 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of our primary academies; we are looking for a Cover Supervisor at Boston Pioneers Academy. The role of the Cover Supervisor involves supervising pupils in the classroom in the absence of their teacher and supporting their learning. The role will also involve some administrative and other support tasks at times when cover is not required. We require that candidates have a minimum grade ‘C’ in maths and English.

You will be required to work for 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

This role requires the successful candidate to provide one to one support to a student across a range of subjects, therefore, we require that candidates have a minimum grade ‘C’ in maths and English.

You will be required to work for 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

IT Technician

Grade 3, SCP 3-6, £15807-£17419

37 Hours per week

Haven High Academy is situated in the town of Boston in rural Lincolnshire. The Academy is part of the Boston Witham Academies Federation which includes Carlton Road, Staniland, Park, Fishtoft, Gosberton, Pioneers and Wygate Park Academies.

An energetic and enthusiastic IT technician is required as soon as possible to support the Network Manager in the successful operation of IT systems within the Boston Witham Academies Federation. The successful candidate should have experience in supporting Microsoft operating systems and be familiar with Office 365. It would be an advantage to have a driving License and experience of the education sector but this is not essential.

Haven High Academy, In-School Education Centre Manager

Grade 5, SCP 12-15 £19430 – £21962 pro rata

37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Federation for a hard-working and flexible person for the post of IEC Manager at Haven High Academy. This role involves working closely with small numbers of children across the age range who may occasionally need support away from mainstream education. You would be expected to have excellent communication and management skills with a strong desire to make a difference.
