The Boston Witham Academies Federation is committed to working in partnership to raise achievement for all. Every academy within the Trust places great emphasis on providing a caring environment where each young person is supported in their personal development, meeting all their needs, as well as ensuring that each child and young person reaches and often exceeds their academic potential.

We are a well established multi academy trust with a supportive leadership and central team. As all our academies are based around Boston and Spalding the chance of sharing best practice and collaborative working is second to none.

Situated in the East of the beautiful county of Lincolnshire it has easy access to sandy beaches, the Lincolnshire Wolds – a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and the City of Lincoln. Boston boasts very competitive house prices, whilst being subject to further housing developments to cater for its popularity. Boston is easily accessible by rail or road, with London only two hours away by train.

The Boston Witham Academies Federation (BWAF) are looking to appoint an outstanding professional in the new role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to assist the Trust in the delivery of its vision and values. BWAF is a Multi Academy Trust of 8 academies in Boston and Spalding who educate learners from 3-16. We are ambitious for the future and this is a new role that will support us to achieve our strategic aims.

The COO position is a cross-academy role which forms part of the Trust Executive Team and the successful candidate would be expected to work with the CEO, VCEO and CFO to lead the strategic development of the Trust. The role is to lead and manage all the non-academic operating aspects within the organisation with the purpose of supporting the achievement of outstanding educational outcomes, providing an excellent service to academies and ensuring best value for money.

We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in strategic leadership in an educational setting and professional management of support functions including Human Resources, IT, Estates and Premises, Business and Data Systems, Health and Safety, Catering and GDPR. You will have a passion for continuous improvement in all operational areas and proven innovative and collaborative practice impacting on outcomes.

This is a new, full time role, based in Boston and you will report to the Chief Executive Officer. Salary is competitive and will reflect the post holder’s skills, experience and current salary.

Teacher of Health and Social Care – Haven High Academy, Boston, Lincolnshire, MPS/UPS
Job to start: September 2020 – Full time permanent role

Due to the continuing expansion and success of Haven High Academy, we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Health and Social Care Level 2.

Haven High Academy is oversubscribed with 1,170 students and is situated in Boston, rural Lincolnshire and is part of the Boston Witham Academies Federation.

Our mission is: “To create a centre of excellence within and for the community which raises the aspirations and achievement of all stakeholders – an academy which provides support, care, guidance, challenge and empowerment for all.”

We are looking to appoint a colleague who is:-

• A talented and dynamic teacher to inspire our students from KS3 to KS4. Health and Social Care is taught in Years 9 to 11.

• A good/outstanding practitioner with a working knowledge of the BTEC Tech award in HSC
• Able to plan and teach internally moderated units (Human lifespan development, health and social care services)
• Able to prepare students for the external synoptic unit Health and Wellbeing
• A professional teacher who understands the importance of best practice and the status of the academy in the community
